Rachel Theriault is currently a PhD candidate with the Queen’s School of Computing. She completed her undergraduate degree in biomedical computing and Master’s degree in artificial intelligence at Queen’s University. Rachel’s research is focused on application of machine learning techniques to identify patterns in high dimensional medical images for cancer detection. H work in breast cancer analysis has been presented at the International Conference on Information Processing in Computer-Assisted Interventions and published in the Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery. In her Masters Rachel was funded, in part, by the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and her PhD is currently funded by the NSERC Medi-CREATE program and the Queen Elizabeth ll Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology
