Kai Chen is a Master’s student in the Biomedical Informatics program at Queen’s University. He is a member of the Machine Intelligence & Biocomputing (MIB) Lab, supervised by Dr. Ting Hu. His research focuses on explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) and its applications in biomedicine. He earned his MD (equivalent) from the Naval Medical University (Shanghai, China) and completed residency training in Internal Medicine. Before joining Queen’s, Kai worked as a Medical Data Analyst, specializing in the integration of XAI with clinical practice and large-scale medical databases
