
Meara Sanjayan is a first-year MSc student in the Translational Medicine Graduate Program. Previously, she completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences at Queen’s. For her master’s research, co-supervised by Dr. Karen Yeates and Dr. Amber Simpson, she is investigating how AI-supported imaging tools can be adapted to Canadian contexts to improve equitable health access for underserved communities. Alongside her graduate work, she contributes to research at SickKids focused on integrating patient-reported outcomes in burn care, further deepening her interest in patient-centered healthcare innovation. She is the recipient of the Learning Track Excellence Award, the Queen’s Graduate Award, and the R.S. McLaughlin Award
