Kaitlyn Kobayashi received her B.A.Sc in Mathematics and Engineering from Queen’s University in 2021, specializing in Systems and Robotics. She then spent a year in Iqaluit doing logistics and data analysis for the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health. Kaitlyn is now back at Queen’s to pursue a M.Sc in Experimental Medicine. Her research focuses on using statistical and machine learning models to find prognostic biomarkers in CT scans to help predict liver cancer recurrence. She is interested in learning about how artificial intelligence can be used in the medical field and is passionate about finding solutions that can be beneficial to both medical professionals and patients.
