Mohamed is a PhD Student at the Vector Institute and Queen’s University, supervised by Dr. Parvin Mousavi. Their main research interests are in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Trustworthy AI in Healthcare and Medicine. More specifically, their focus is on designing, training, and deploying trustworthy deep learning models for disease diagnosis and computer-assisted interventions at the point-of-care. Mohamed is also a recipient of the Bruce Mitchell Research Fellowship. Previously, they completed their MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Queen’s University and their HBSc in Computer Science and Philosophy at the University of Toronto. They are also a former recipient of the Robert Sutherland Fellowship at Queen’s.
