Alumnus
Hi! My name is Emily Cameron and I am starting my first year of my MASc in Mechanical and Materials Engineering with my supervisor, Dr. Heidi Ploeg, at Queen’s University. I just recently graduated with my BASc in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Queen’s University. My current research focus is on orthopedic biomechanics and finite element analysis of patient-specific models. I have previously completed projects on the effects of CT x-ray voltage and current on hydroxyapatite phantoms with different densities, and patient-specific finite element analysis of a tibia containing a benign bone lesion. I plan to focus my thesis on the latter with the goal of improving surgical outcomes and quality of life for patients with bone lesions. I look forward to being a part of the CREATE program and expanding my knowledge in various facets of biomedical engineering.
