
Maryam Ghaferi is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University under the supervision of Professor Heidi Ploeg. She holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing) from Nooshirvani University of Technology, Iran, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology. Her previous research focused on the effect of heat treatment on the formability and mechanical properties of AA6061 aluminum alloy in single point incremental forming, earning her the Top Master Thesis Award in Manufacturing Engineering (ICME 2019). Her current research interests include biomechanical modeling and advanced manufacturing methods inspired by bone structures.
