I graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in mechanical and materials engineering with a specialization in biomechanical engineering, in the spring of 2024. I recently started the Master of Applied Science program in biomechanical engineering with a specialization in biomedical engineering at Queen’s University, under supervision of Dr. Heidi-Lynn Ploeg. My work in the biomechanical engineering research field began in 2021, when I started working in Dr. Ploeg’s Bone and Joint Biomechanics (BJB) Lab at Queen’s University. While working in the BJB lab, I’ve had the opportunity to do work on trabecular bone modelling, and presented and attended several conferences including the North American Congress on Biomechanics (NACOB 2022), Orthopedic Research Society (ORS 2022 and 2023), and American Society of Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR 2024). I am curious and passionate about bone health, translational and clinical research, the nervous system, and engineering education.
